Owning a yacht is a symbol of luxury and freedom on the water. Tailored dodgers designed specifically for your yacht can improve the look and feel of the boat, both on and off the water.
Protection Matters!
Yachts are designed to be used in harsh conditions and dodgers give you some shelter from the elements. while sailing. All of this means that the dodgers block some of the wind and spray, reducing fatigue and allowing you to sail for longer periods without getting tired.
A custom dodger fits snugly, ensuring this tailored approach also enhances the aesthetic appeal, maintaining the yacht’s sleek lines and design.

What is the construction of the dodgers?
When selecting a cover, understanding the material specifications is essential. Two different materials are used depending on budget and aesthetics.
- Weathermax 80
These are lighter and more flexible, making them easier to handle and store. Weathermax is a soft fabric and is nice to lean against. Any text is sewn on.
- 600 gram PVC - These are thicker, heavier, and more durable. They offer superior resistance to abrasion, tearing, and harsh weather, including strong winds and heavy rain. Best suited for larger yachts or those kept in exposed locations. Text for these is printed directly to the dodger in UV cured ink, so no fading!
In addition to this, the cover has marine grade stainless eyelets for attachment and these are very well supported due to the construction method of multiple layers of material around the edges. The material choice includes heavyweight Dacron to ensure eyelets stay in place.

Maintaining Your Dodgers to make them last for the long term.
Our dodgers are well made using expensive materials and will last many years, but here are some care and maintenance tips.
- Regular Cleaning
Wash the cover with mild soap and water to remove salt, dirt, and bird droppings.
- Proper Storage
When not in use, store the cover in a dry, cool place to prevent mildew.
- Inspect for Damage
Check for tears, loose stitching, or worn areas and repair them promptly.
- Avoid Sharp Objects
Keep the cover away from sharp edges or tools that could puncture the fabric.
Following these simple steps will ensure your bespoke yacht protection remains reliable for years.
