The GP is a solid and reliable boat, so the covers should be all of that too. We now use the best materials and extras available including doubling up the width of the Velcro at openings to 50mm wide for additional hold. The cover design is tailored fit, with a transom cover that extends to enclose the entire transom. This is a feature of most Creation dinghy designs, as it also helps support the aft end of the cover and protects the underside of the transom from knocks and scratches. On the GP14, with so many wooden boats around, the enclosed transom also has the benefit of stopping sun-bleaching of the wood and keeping more of the boat pristine.
Check out the transom area for an example of how the skirts fully enclosing will protect against UV and knocks. The transom also has an additional strap to help pull the material along the centreline and reduce water pooling on top.
