Dinghy Rope
We have had lots of experience in dinghy fitouts and re-ropes, so have a good list of suitable lengths and spec’s for many classes. If you’d prefer to talk to someone or send an email to discuss requirements, please feel free to get in touch.
Please bear with us as we develop our new website, we plan to have a shop in the near future to make ordering rope a lot easier!
Halyards
Main Halyards - Dinghystar (4mm) (blue, yellow, red) is ideal for cleating in a clamcleat due to the durable materials and construction. This rope will hold well in the cleat and last with minimal wear over time.
Spinnaker Halyards - Dinghy Polytech (4mm) (red, blue) is a technical spinnaker halyard rope that can be tapered for windage and weight as well as having the ability to have the core removed for any hanging tails on chute boats which will also reduce weight.
Control Line
Infinity is a continuous line suitable for adjusting just about anything and is very easy to splice together. Other benefits are that it is soft and runs around blocks smoothly. It's come in 4mm and you have the options of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black.
Dinghy Polytech is a great line for durable and high load controls. It can be tapered down to the core for something of lighter weight without compromising performance. It's come in 4mm and you have the options of blue or orange.
Tapered Sheets
Tapered sheets reduce weight and windage on the sails and friction in the systems. A must-have for racers in most classes.
Tapered Jib sheets reduce weight, are less likely to catch whilst tacking/gybing and allow loops in the end for soft shackles.
Tapered Spinnaker sheets makes it easier to play the spinnaker, especially in light winds due to the reduced weight hanging on the corners of the spinnaker.
Tapered Mainsheets reduces friction through blocks for smoother and easier control of the mainsail.
Dyneema
Ocean 3000 All Black (2mm, 3mm, 4mm). This is a SK78 Dyneema that keeps its colour- no more fading! The all black looks smart and is suitable for kicker cascades, purchase systems and many other highly loaded parts of your boat.
Ocean7000. (2mm, 3mm) This is a SK99 Dyneema, so top spec in terms of strength and very little stretch.
Shockcord
Shockcord comes as 3mm or 4mm in the standard construction, or as 6mm for the Dyneema covered high-tech Shockcord.
3mm is good for light lines and control soakaways, 4mm gives a bit more power to soakaways. 6mm Dyneema covered High Tech shockcord is ideal for in-boom soakaways for pole launch systems.
Yacht Rope
We use exclusively Robline rope due to the wide range of products as well as the sensible prices. This is split up into two sections to help you find what you're looking for.
