Creation Covers has the technology to manufacture products in the right way. This often means that each element of the design of a product is considered, from the overall concept, down to the type of stitch, colour of thread and even thread material, type and thickness.

The thread that we typically use is an anti-wick Polyester, which means that it has a thin film coating of wax which serves to help waterproof the seams. The thread itself is made of three strands of thinner polyester, which in turn is made of even finer strands. The result of this is that the thread enhances our products by not being the weak link in the manufacturing process.

When sewing a boat cover or one of the many other products that we make, the seam width and type, thread thickness and material and type of stitch chosen all affect the durability, strength and overall quality of a product. Using many years of manufacturing and design experience, we are confident in creating products that can rely on the quality of how well it is put together. For our dinghy and yacht covers, all seams are stuck with high-tack tape, over-stuck with a special adhesive backed polyester, sewn together with a straight line of stitching and finally oversewn with an appropriate stitch to secure. Each process adds to the finished product and is there for a reason.

We have experience in design and manufacture for industry, developing products that are suitable for the environment that they will be exposed to. Quality in manufacturing is just part of that equation, as is picking suitable materials, colours and designing for a good fit.

We aim to educate as well as provide openness about how we do things differently at Creation Covers and we hope you can appreciate this in any products do do buy from us in the future.
